Function Menus

Christenings, Baby showers, Bridal showers, Anniversaries, Awards functions, are all part of the routine at Blandford Manor with menu options available to suit your pocket and your style.

At Blandford Manor every effort is made to ensure customer satisfaction. Our highly trained team have many years of experience preparing culinary masterpieces for large and small groups. Traditionally we prepare individual dishes for small groups but far prefer to serve buffet meals to large groups (more than 25 guests)  – this ensures that guests do not have to wait for their food to be prepared and served individually.

Please note that given time, we are normally able to taylor our menus to suit specific needs but this may result in a change in the quoted price and will be strictly subject to availability of ingredients.

Notes regarding our various function menus:

• All our function menus, including the Braai menus, are served as buffets.
• The Breakfast buffet is served until 10h30, guests may remain at the venue until 12h00
• The brunch buffet is served from 11h00 to 13h00
• All other buffets are served from 12h00
• All dishes subject to availability
• A Minimum of 20 guests are required for buffet meals
• The Chef’s Speciality Formal Plated menu is only available for groups of less than 40 people
• No venue hire is charged with buffet meals when served in the gardens.
• If you would like to book a private venue or host your function after hours, then a venue hire charge applies
• A basic service fee will be included in quotation, however please remember to tip your waiters if you feel they have worked hard to make your day that little bit more special.
• A self-service tea and coffee station can be provided (this will remain open until the meal is removed, 90 minutes from serving) – R20 pp, minimum charge R400
• No take-aways or doggy bags are allowed
• Food will be served at the time requested prior to the event. Should organisers / guests arrive late then it may be impossible to delay the serving time due to demands on the kitchen from other functions / guests.
• Buffet meals remain at the serving stations for a maximum of 90 minutes from time of serving – NO EXTENSIONS are permitted.
• You will be charged for the number of people indicated to us latest 3 days before your function, there is no reduction if fewer people arrive. If more people arrive than indicated, we will make every effort to accommodate them and they will be charged at the same rate as other guests. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate them.
• Note we intentionally allow some leeway for guests to arrive and settle before serving (our duty manager will monitor the situation to the best of his ability), if you wish the food to be delivered exactly at a given time, even if guests are arriving late, please let us know in advance (remember there is no extension in time if guests arrive late).
• Please keep us informed as to any guests with specific dietary requirements (vegetarian etc). Strict Halaal and Kosher meals must be obtained from outside agencies and a surcharge applies – please discuss this with us at least 4 days before your function as no orders can be placed after this time.
• Full payment for the buffet meal is required in advance
• Please talk to us if you would like to reserve a private indoor venue
• For garden functions in the event of rain your function will be moved indoors where you will share the available space with any other functions and restaurant patrons.
