About the Wild Goose

 

The Wild Goose Cafe is located at Blandford Manor, a traditional Old English estate and Manor House established along the banks of the Olienhoutpoort river in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg.

Conveniently situated on the doorstep of both Randburg and Sandton, The Wild Goose is the perfect destination when you are looking for a peaceful relaxing break with friends and family. The restaurant offers a traditional ‘home cooked’ menu that wont leave you scratching your head to know what you are ordering.

Note that The Wild Goose Cafe is known for peace and tranquility, no children under the age of 15 years allowed, this includes babies and toddlers.

Most functions and events take place in our gardens, but the deck and several indoor venues are also available if you prefer.

Please note that our normal operating hours are 08h30 to 18h00 Monday to Saturday, we close at 17h30 on Sunday and public holidays. Larger functions (more than 20 people) can be arranged after hours.

A wide variety of Buffet, Braai, Finger Food, Tea and Cocktail menus are available. Please refer to our menus for more details:

Our Philosophy

At Blandford Manor we have a very simple philosophy, we keep it simple.
All our dishes are based on tried and tested traditional recipes. Wherever possible we use the original name and we try to describe the dish as simply and accurately as possible.

Restaurant Quality Food

All our meals are lovingly and freshly prepared by our eight dedicated, highly trained and experienced chefs using only the very finest ingredients. The same team of chefs prepare meals for our a-la-carte restaurant as well as a wide range of speciality function menus including: Braais , Buffets, Cocktails, High Teas and various Finger Food Menus. This means that everyone visiting Blandford Manor receives restaurant quality meals.
